The bottom line is everybody wants something for free.

Take this "Internet Bill of Rights" crowd, for example.

They don't want to build their own websites because it costs money.

They don't want to file discrimination lawsuits because that costs money.

Ironically, this so-called conservative crowd is demanding more laws to force companies to give them a free platform.

Never mind that more laws will end up costing them more than just money in the long run.

A fucking TINY amount of money.

Seriously... there is hosting out there that is dirt cheap.

And by the time that you outgrow that dirt cheap hosting, your site will be big enough to validate a better hosting plan and you'll be so fucking addicted to having your own site you won't even think twice!

LOL...

I just cannot understand how people can visit other peoples' websites (even corporate sites) and be satisfied with NOT owning a site. How can they see that and NOT want their own??

Man. It boggles my mind.

Well, I tried to show them the way. You were there and saw it.

I can understand kids growing up online, and getting used to all of the freebies, and thinking it's gonna last forever. But the older people should know by now that nothing worth having is free, including free speech.

The thing that gripes me the most is that they won't even take free punitive measures like boycotting social networks that practice censorship. Giving up muh YouTube is too high a price to pay, I guess.

I wanted a website since I was a young teenager... I didn't register my own domain until I was 21 though.

It was a huge dream of mine... kind of like people used to feel about "The American Dream".

It was a goal I wouldn't give up on achieving.

I guess you're either born with that spirit, or you're not.

I am waiting for the UNIVERSAL ALLOWANCE and it better be $2000 per month , not kidding guys .

All the the good jobs are taken by illegals and then you got automation eating up any leftovers , wtf I am i supposed to do ?

How can a guy compete in an ever shrinking job market ?

This is a growing problem because the elites like automation and they like larger companies eating up smaller ones , pretty soon it will just be google, amazon, walmart .

How come you didn't nag your parents to register you one? You could've had your pick before all the good ones were taken! lol

I wanted to learn HTML almost from the minute I set foot in a CGI chatroom. (That's Common Gateway Interface, not Computer-Generated Imagery.) I learned everything I know online just by being excessively curious.

A big part of the problem is that computers don't teach computing anymore. That was a major selling point for computers when I was growing up. If you just wanted to play games, you bought a console. Computers were for learning computing. Every single one of them booted into a BASIC interpreter, not a desktop.

New systems like the Raspberry Pi open up a lot more learning possibilities than those old computers ever dreamed of doing, but what do the dumbfuck kids do with them? Why, they try to make cheap desktop computers out of them. No imagination at all. No curiosity beyond how many frames per second the video chip will do, or how much it'll cost to add a keyboard and monitor.

I don't ask people for stuff...

Tongue

Besides, Sectual is the only one out of like 60 domains that ever went anywhere, and some other guy owned it in the early 2000s and rode out his personal experience with the energy wave.

In 2013, it was time for me.

Do you honestly believe corporations that are too cheap to pay workers a wage are going to pay $2000 a month each to 7 billion bored, disgruntled, resentful people with too much time on their hands? That's not the globalists' plan, bro.

universal `allowance` / basic income is the casino gulag spoken of yearrrs ago on C2CAM and the bullhorn show. max keiser and gerald celente spoke of it, iirc.

it's the new technocratic feudalism. dumb shits gonna love it for a bit. the unfortunate would have to rely on it for a bit. thing is, it won't end. there won't be opportunities for people. if you think today's nepotism is bad, just you wait. it's not what you know, or even who you know, it's who you blow and how good you are at that.

automated cars. automated food joints. automated drones delivering you shit that was created via automation.

the casino part is shit like cryptocurrencies. invest at the right time and you're doin ok. play the new games and do the new digital things and maybe you'll get tipped / win more credits.

the good jobs are not being taken by illegals. they are generally illiterate in the new country, are very unskilled, and frankly of a stock not that intelligent to begin with. anyone can do those jobs. you want to be a producer. acquire and use technical skills. learn to program. learn shit insanely hard to automate, like plumbing/hvac.

the answer to technocratic feudalism / communism isn't jumping in on the dole, it's using free market capitalism. you are superior to these illegal immigrant slave pawns. get in that mindset and rock it.

it's not really the corps that would be paying, it would be the .gov's [which are technically corps but w/e.]

the central banks can magic up infinite gulagcoins. they already have been. they own the money, they own the control. dispensing tricky dick fun bux is nothing to them as it maintains their control.

also billions will die.

That many, huh? What were some other domains you owned?

I have 3 right now. One is just a simple black page with a JPEG and a single-word caption. It was one of those "Rick roll" type of gag sites we used to spring on n00bs back in the day. I made a new site after the original went away because it was a little piece of the anon board culture I thought worth preserving.

There was a time when every single great idea I had got its own domain name registered...

I have at least one great idea every single day...

There's a difference between having a great idea, and actually carrying out that great idea.

In short, domains was an addiction I have now overcome.

That's what I'm getting at. If the corporate oligarchic feudalism takes hold -- and I'm not saying it's a foregone conclusion that it will -- those who don't become financially independent and aren't hot young chicks won't be kept around as pets long.
