Save the babybatter! Sperm freezing needs to happen NOW, on a wide scale...

Genius sperm, elixir of the gods.

Women everywhere need this.

This article states it could take "decades" to have 500 children...

I will not accept limitations here.

Do better, science.

Humanity wants to go colonize space and it can't even effectively freeze sperm for hundreds of years? Pft, idiots.

Not only can they not effectively freeze the sperm for hundreds of years but they can't even ensure acceptable insemination success rates. Pathetic...

Humanity should FORGET about going into space, FORGET about advancing anything else whatsoever until they fix this issue. Put war and all that silly bullshit on hold... sort out this sperm situation, this is just unacceptable.

what about things on your end? you're just wasting an egg every month, and you have a finite supply of them.

I was waiting for someone to raise this point...

But of course you're just being cheeky.

Males are the ones whose fertilizing goods spray forth in a fountain of abundance and with ease...

It only makes sense that we should save the sperm, whereas eggs are pretty well locked in there. Not really meant to be saved in this way.

As you said... eggs are finite. Sperm essentially never ends.

I wonder how I would feel about this concept if I was a dude.

I suspect I wouldn't care... at all. I would probably think it was a really cool idea.

How else do you get to have dozens of kids but never pay child support?

This is a solid fucking plan and it's what's best for everyone involved.

theoretically a set of testes could be excised and maintained on its own for sperm production... whereas with the eggs you have a finite supply from when you're born.

i still feel like there's something off about the whole in vitro fertilization stuff. the holy trinity is the mother, father, and child. 2 souls touching and coming together forming a conduit for another soul. i feel that without the physical union [and love for that matter] the natural process is likely disrupted in ways we might not comprehend.

i've thought about selling my product to a sperm bank lol, but it just doesn't sit well with me. how could someone not want direct interaction with their offspring? how could they not want to guide them and nurture them?

I don't disagree with you Genba, re: the trinity/union/creation. But it is coming from a genuine place within me where I really do feel like this is a great idea. I think it needs to be done. Even if it's on a small and disappointing scale like just tens of thousands of genius babies instead of hundreds of thousands.

I respect your standpoint in this and it even touches my heart a little bit.

You spend much time thinking of the maturation of these "geniuses" but little on the raising of them. Your geniuses if raised wrong, for instance by a single mother would probably all turn to organized crime or simply serial killers. There have been many geniuses of past raised wrong and who did more for themselves then anything for the civilization they were apart of.

This is not to say eugenics doesn't have a place for modern civilizations but more factors should be understood instead of granting in vitro to a single mother. Still the traditional family is the strongest political force which whole tribes, cultures and countries are founded upon. Though back in the day the mother usually died after a few childbirths, perhaps in the future women could be only used for maturation before they become a strain upon more complex societies.

Caveman days... that's my response. Think back to the glory days when humans lived in their tightly knit communities, there were no distractions to keep people from facing one another. There were wise elders who guided people and the older women and men helped raise all the kids (because mothers were out engaging in group caveman sex/getting pregnant again).

A similar system would be divised in this genius baby utopia. The genius babies could have strong male role models in the community, and communities could be kept smaller on purpose so nobody felt left out.

Oh this needs way more than a GoFundMe...

It needs to be the new global precedent for all reproduction.

Fuck genius types and pretty boy consumed with vanity we need innovator's , daring adventurists ,practical thinkers, and most of all prudent planners

Those genius and model types you lust after tend to have very mediocre children complete with apathy and  genetic diseases

I rest my case bitch
