YouTube Continues Fucking People: Honestly, just delete your YouTube account...

Eek
Patreon banned Sargon for something he said on someone else's channel 10 months earlier while defending himself against attacks from the alt-right.

Like I said, Stockholm syndrome.

He did mention maybe building his own website, but it sounds like he still plans to put most of his eggs in the corporate social media basket.

That quote he attributed to Harry Potter was stolen directly from Star Wars, by the way.

I was gonna leave a comment on the video, but in the end I was just like fuck it.

At least he mentioned making his own website.

He's totally deluded and not quite getting it if he thinks that Patreon is safe...

I almost LOL'd when he said he was gonna try to get his podcasts on iTunes.

People just don't get it, do they?

It's a long road...

shrug

I'm glad that I know what I know and have the experience I have...

These people have a lot to learn.

He sold his soul. He'd rather be at the mercy of big tech than get a real job and be a working stiff like the rest of us. Fuck him.

It has nothing to do with "getting a real job"...

It has to do with being an entrepreneur and jumping all the hoops and obstacles in your way to success.

YouTube used to be a valid opportunity. It isn't anymore. It's yet another hoop to jump through.

The entrepreneurial spirit is all about independence and overcoming obstacles...

It's an endless barrage of obstacles.

He's yet another victim of this social media ghetto illusion of safety that has been perpetrated on the internet for the past (almost) 15 years.

Don't be mad because he doesn't want to take a route that leads to being a bitter old fuck like you are.

Time will tell if he can make it his own way or not, but he's JUST NOW learning (the very hard way) that it is NECESSARY to.
God made me funky...

Entrepreneurs take calculated risks. Being dependent on corporations that you know will screw you over for your livelihood is practically the same as working a job at a shitty corporation. It's literally the exact opposite of being independent.
I'm going to ignore your shitty little personal attacks. Have a nice holiday.

It's calling being young and naive...

You despise young people due to your state of being an old bitter fuck...

shrug

You are a very grizzled person and it's sad.

I don't feel bad for you though.

I don't despise young people. I simply don't have any respect for people who repeat the same mistakes over and over without learning from them.

I mean this dude knows that having your own website is an option, yet he doesn't follow it to its logical conclusion. Imagine how much further along he would be if he drove his 300,000 viewers to his own site instead of driving them to the same site that just fucked him out of 300,000 subscribers. Is he really a hapless victim, or does he make poor decisions? I don't know, dude.

Your point is valid...

I can't completely blame youthful naivety for Mumkey's inability to see the writing on the wall...

After all, his channel HAS been deleted and restored before.

It's Stockholm Syndrome just like you said...

But I can't help but have a tad bit of compassion for Mumkey because he IS young and naive.

That said, he's a grown man... THIS should be the one definitive time that scares him into realizing that it's ALL riding on his OWN determination toward independence.

THIS is the time, from this point forward, where it's determined whether or not he does "repeat" the same mistakes over and over.

I personally have hope for the dude. BECAUSE I think he's smart. Because I can't IMAGINE somebody like him NOT taking it all into his own hands. I can't imagine somebody like him failing.

Exactly, and EVERYONE needs to start doing JUST THAT... right NOW.

For example, Styx.

He needs to get his own .com RIGHT NOW and start directing people to bookmark it and join whatever kinda membership he offers there. Newsletters, actual accounts, whatever. ANYTHINGGG.

And if he doesn't...

Oh my God.

Intelligence apparently isn't what I've been thinking it is for a long time now.

Countless successful people have lost their shirts and had to start over in a lesser position while they rebuilt their fortunes. The way this guy thumbs his nose at the idea of temporarily getting a job while he gets his shit together just rubs me the wrong way. He sounds like he thinks he's too good for work. "I'd rather be making videos for you idiots." As if all of us idiots don't have our own rathers.

(12-13-2018, 05:20 PM)Trix Wrote: Intelligence apparently isn't what I've been thinking it is for a long time now.

It may not be about intelligence. Some people place too much faith in the goodness of their fellow man. Most people have their own best interest at heart, not yours. You can literally count the number of genuinely altruistic people throughout history without taking your socks off.

Does that mean they're evil or malicious? No. Usually they just have their hands full taking care of their own affairs. If it comes down to a choice between your interests and theirs, whose do you think will win out? It's a given that you should always have a Plan B in case someone doesn't come through for you. More so when that person has an established history of being unreliable. Big tech has established that kind of history.

Now, considering that a corporation is only beholden to one group of people - the shareholders - does it even make sense to have faith in them to not throw you under the bus if they see a way to make money by doing so?

If knowledge gained from experience is synonymous with being "bitter" and "grizzled" and makes "old" people (as in anyone over 30 Rolleyes) contemptible, then maybe you'd be better off clinging to your delusions.

Yeah, in the meantime you gotta do what you gotta do...

I have a qualm with the way he almost implied he was gonna chuck the whole 9 yards in the garbage just because of this.

It's like...

You NEVER GIVE UP your goals of independence.

I can't relate to the "I give up, fuck it all!" mindset. I don't even know where it comes from.

I've only ever left comments on his videos...

And I did leave a comment summarizing basically everything I've said here.

I think it was on the channel that got removed though.

I left this comment on BasedShaman's video:

Quote:It's time to STOP using these internet ghettos. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Patreon... they're all showing their true intentions with these platforms by BANNING ANYONE who is a freethinker. STOP giving your creative ENERGY to these platforms. Social media is DYING. Those of you who have your own hosted websites... you're leagues ahead of everyone else. Most people thinking YouTube and Facebook ARE the internet... they're going to be lost to these dying platforms and their banal content until they get the memo that having a personal website is the only effective use of your time and creative energy in the end.

Mumkey totally wouldn't listen to me though, his community has always shunned me, even though we both love Elliot Rodger. BasedShaman's viewership is more likeminded. BasedShaman made this video yesterday:

He's had his own website and tried his best to have backup since YouTube started showing him their true colors well over a year ago. I'm proud of him.

BasedShaman is way ahead of any YouTuber (of any size) who doesn't have their own site.

As he said, he had to remove a shitload of videos in order to conform... he re-uploaded those videos to sites like DailyMotion and then linked to them on his own site.

As we know there's basically no solution to that video hosting thingy if you want to be 100% independent besides to have incredibly small sized videos, etc. So by hosting them on less popular platforms who nevertheless have been around a long time, and then linking to them from your own site, there is a TINY solution there. It's not ideal, it's not great... but it does work.

He's gotten a clue faster than the rest of these 'creators' have...

And what a total joke to label these YouTubers 'creators', it's just another way the internet masses have been brainwashed and NLP'd into being totally dependent on these commie platforms.

Real "Creators" would have THEIR OWN.
God made me funky...
And I'm glad He blessed me that way.

Don't waste your time on the fans. They're always gonna sit there with their hands in their laps and whine about censorship. Go after the content producers themselves. Bomb the shit out of their comment sections with "GET YER OWN SITE!!!"

Yep, this is what I do now.

I might as well go leave a comment on his video.

I'll copy and paste some shit I've already said...

I have zero faith it'll make any fuckin' difference anyway, so I may as well not waste my time typing anything new.
