It's really more of a consequence of how the software works. A user Id is required to initialize all of the JavaScript modules.


My thought was that SJWs can't get you kicked off your host or otherwise fuck with you if they can't see what's on your site in the first place. It's definitely designed for people who don't particularly want outsiders to know what they're up to.


The upside is that everything loads almost instantly. After the front page loads, small amounts data are the only thing that gets transferred between the the server and browser. All of the HTML templates are downloaded with the front page and rendered in JavaScript. The Github page explains it all in more detail.

Opening up the platform may give anonymous users access to a lot of features not found on ordinary off-the-shelf forum platforms. There are some creepy-stalkerish ramifications to some of this shit. We need to think about exactly what guests should and shouldn't be allowed to do. As I've said several times, I do not want to run or even visit a "red board" ever again.
