TOOOOOTALLY NORMAAAAAAAL.

They keep saying "drones" plural...

Is it just one drone or is it verified to be multiple drones?

Have more than one been sighted at the same time?

That's what I was thinking. They said 50 sightings. Did 50 people see the same drone? Or were 50 drones seen in total?

If it was 50 drones, then it's most likely a sinister plot.

I'd say that's probably the number of official reports from people who were looking and sighted the drone(s)...

Probably includes the people whose jobs are to watch the runway.

I wanna know if people saw more than one drone at once.

Because if there's more than one, then it stands to reason this is being done by at least 2 people, and it means that they can take shifts.

Or that it's one guy with two drones and he could run one while the other charges.

But it's not just one person if two drones were sighted at once, and I think that's the most important detail here, that I can't seem to find a clear answer to, which is suspicious.

They said the drones appear every time they try to reopen the airport.

Do they not appear when they're not trying to reopen it?

They wouldn't necessarily need to modify the batteries if they're only occasionally harassing the airport. Just fly it home, switch battery packs, and fly it back.

Well, are they 'parking' the drones somewhere?

Because the more they 'bring them home' the higher the risk of being followed/caught is.

And if they're parking the drones, how do they know when there's activity at the airport being reattempted?

Do they have an inside source?

Where are they watching from?

They could be parking them in tall grass near the airport.

The drones could have pre-programmed flight paths. Or they could be programmed to sleep while they're parked and wake up after a certain interval. Or the operator could quickly send new instructions to them every so often. In those cases there would be no radio control signal to get a fix on, or not enough time to get a fix on it.

True. I admit I know nothing about drones.

I just find it so unlikely that anybody would be willing to take the risks involved with doing something like this.

For "fun"??

Naaah.

It's either a test run, or just the beginning.

"How Gatwick airport has been paralyzed by a Christmas toy": https://www.australiatimes.online/2018/1...stmas-toy/

Yeah...

They're trying to paint this as something innocuous.

It's probably all in an effort to have reason to ban drones...

The longer you keep the airport closed, the madder people are, the easier it'll be to get people to agree with banning them.

Not that they need people to agree.

Have you notice how another teacher gets busted for having sex with underage students every other week?

Don't underestimate the "tee hee" factor.

A "Christmas toy?" They were saying it was a "commercial size" drone before, right?

Gatwick reopened, then closed again today.

This report says "another" drone was sighted. Sounds like more than one.

so they can find out who was flying a drone[s] and arrest them, but they can't do shit about immigrants and politicians running underage sex slavery rings?

it took them how long to deal with a single flying drone allegedly run by amateurs?

have any of you seen the state of the police over there? they've been asking the public to help them deal with violent immigrants and youths. the police have been getting their asses kicked on camera. oh, they're also asking that more women join the ranks because too many male police officers is totally sexist, nevermind all the violent crime happening.

i'm pretty sure a team of 12 marines could take over the UK at this point. literally 12, not even any air support or resupplies.

this whole thing has to be some sort of distraction, likely away from from May and her brexit hindering. also from yellow-vests.

I've added numbers to your responses cuz I'm a dumbass that can't multi-quote.  Sad

1) Goddamn I'm glad somebody said THAT shit!
2) The ineptitude astounds.
3) I can't believe most cops over here are even allowed on the job w/o a fucking gun. That's not a cop, that's a target!
4) ROFL! Sadly, that probably ain't far off from the truth!
5) Never let a crisis [or distracting activity] go to waste!
