Pinterest won't let me view any content without logging in, and I can't be fucked to make an account just to look at a picture.

I know...

I've always totally despised that.

I just wholly rejected it for that reason alone from the very beginning.

I'm tired of pics on the internet anyway.

Not always. I didn't learn to troll until I stumbled upon my first troll board. That was almost a decade after I first got on the Internet. It was lovey-dovey from 1994 to about 2003. For real.

Nowadays everybody and their dog is a troll. It's a hard habit to break when that's the dominant culture.

Seriously, check out textfiles.com if you just want to read plain text with no eye candy whatsoever.

Thanks... yeah I mean it's fine to have some imagery here and there. Like for example this site, there's a logo, there are some images that click to other pages. There are avatars. And of course smilies. But there's not a bunch of inundation with pictures everywhere.

After the scourge that has been Facebook and Instagram...

I am just so sick and tired of seeing people's pictures.

That's part of the reason I piss and moan about the Internet going to shit, truth be told. The people you encountered were too much in awe at the coolness of it before AOL opened the floodgate to retards.

It's understandable to feel that way.

But that is a micro expression of the situations that play out in life and the world in general.

The "neighborhood" is always "going to shit"...

It's an endless process.

Yeah. It's like every new thing only gets one chance to be cool before it's ruined.

Automobiles meant freedom until everybody started getting stuck in traffic jams.

Air travel was luxurious until they made it cheap enough for assholes to fly too.

I think Roszak actually talked about the distinct stages of things turning to shit in Where the Wasteland Ends.

First something is a luxury.

Then it becomes a necessity.

Then it becomes a nuisance.

Then it becomes a liability.

Or something like that.
