LOL, apparently that’s not exactly how it went but that’s what I remember thinking when I was watching it.

Here’s the episode:

I just remember her reading the Bible, eyeballing a knife, and then looking at her gnarly leg wound.

I can’t believe I’m saying this...

And I’m trying to keep it hush-hush...

But I think the real Pa Ingalls might have been even hotter than Michael Landon.

And you guys know how I feel about Michael Landon.

Yes, I sure do remember it!!!     The details are fuzzy but it all starts with a simple scratch from a nail.
I thought the same - Pa comes back at the very last second right when she's made all the preparations and is holding the big knife about to cut her own leg off.    No?   I'll have to re-watch it.

Riveting episode, sucked me all the way in.

Kind of reminds me of that wordless Twilight Zone with the little invaders and the woman alone in the house.
(Except I never liked that one).

I never liked that Twilight Zone episode either...

But it’s amazing to rewatch particular episodes of classic shows that you didn't even really like, and marvel at how much better they are than today’s TV!!!

Ha!  Okay now I remember the part about how they told her she made the cut at the exact right moment.

But I *also* always thought she was really going to cut her leg off and they stopped her just in the nick time.

I'm shocked that's not what happened!

Old commercials are great to watch, too.

Thank God I’m not the only one! LOL!

Yeah I figured she was gonna hack it off and I feel like a tourniquet was involved or implied too.

Because I remember thinking like why would cutting it off actually work out cuz she’d die for sure.

(Could you imagine being Pa Ingalls coming home to formerly hotass babymakin’ Caroline dead in the chair holding her severed leg?! LOL! *sadnana* Dark thoughhhh!?)

Granted I was probably like eleventeen when I saw the episode, I really thought that’s what they were implying. Makes me wonder what the Bible verse said. Trying to figure out what was really responsible for that assumption because somebody somewhere along the line had to be trollin’.

39:50 so they used the Bible verse to troll us, basically.
