21:58 you know I gotta admit...

That's a very interesting mix of synth and guitar.

It almost gives it a classic rock vibe, mixed with of course the 80s synth vibe.

Wow...

I dig it. At first I was like WTF and then I was like hell yeah.

And again, I can tell they've taken some of my artistic directive and made certain elements of the songs slow, dark, hard and heavy...

I'm so glad they have good taste.

30:51 this is the closest it's come to sucking yet...

It's sort of Pink Floyd-ish...

The slow parts of their songs I never gave a single fuck about.

Those slow long drawn out build ups to the actual song are pure shit...

Just get into it, fucking no one has time for that bullshit.

Yeah that entire song sucks balls and it's like 7 minutes long too.

Awe man...

Just when I said there wasn't a shitty song yet, the whole thing went to shit.

Oops.

Seems to get better again at 39:30.

This isn't retrowave, but an actual movie closing theme from the early 1980s. It's my all time favorite Tangerine Dream song. The movie kicked serious ass for its time too.

This is a great example of why retrowave is better with no vocals.

Great music (for the most part), excellent video...

But if only there were no words.

A few tastefully placed vocal clips would have been a lot better.

Her voice isn't 100% repulsion, I've heard much worse in the retrowave genre.

But in no way should there be singing all over this song.

People in the comments ask if there's an instrumental version...

It's because really, we just don't want to hear vocals on retrowave unless the vocals themselves are believably retro.

Artists like Kristine, Denys Parker (18 Carat Affair), Adam McNab (La Cassette)...

They are believably retro and totally excellent.
