While we're here, Amazing Polly posted a video today in which she explains what the protests are really about. It isn't just fuel taxes, immigration, Macron's disdain for the little people, nor even exclusively about France. It's about creeping fascism and how corporations are consolidating their control over every aspect of people's lives in every nation.

The prime minister said Macron will propose a solution to end the protests. As usual, he's going to tell the people what he wants to do rather than listen to what they want.

This whole thing could easily escalate into total chaos.
i wonder how much they'd actually use those armored and militarized vehicles. i wonder how the rest of the EU would react to the french killing their own people with something like that. i wonder how the USA would react. we've invaded countries for much less.
i doubt the immigrants have the intelligence or wisdom to behave better during this time there. they are likely to get themselves butchered in the chaos. that's basically what they were there for to begin with, some kindling for bloodlust.
it should be noted that the treaties for both world wars 1 and 2 were signed in france. it would be quite fitting for the third world war to kick off there.
