Social media was invented to prey on people's desire for validation from one another.

It was invented to stifle people, their opinions, their hopes and dreams. 

It was invented to make people complacent, complicit, and totally controlled.

And look what's happening...

It's CRUMBLING.

If you sacrificed your opinions, the soapbox to stand on so that you could be heard, by using social media...

Now you've got NOTHING.

If you went along with the herd on social media, now you're alone.

It's fucked!

Learn from this shit, it applies to every avenue of life as it pertains to social constructs put in place by elitist groups who seek to DOMINATE you.

Get your own platform, be responsible for your own voice.

I think social media addicts don't really value their time anyway, otherwise they'd be doing something worthwhile with it. So they haven't really lost anything by pissing away their time posting vapid drivel on Faecesbook.

People who do have something worthwhile to contribute should definitely have their own platform, or use a platform based on public standards that guarantee their ability to control and preserve their own content. Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the Web originally envisioned it as such and is now working on extensions to enable that type of scenario.
