A lot of mainstream rock fans liked it, but they were definitely not Kate Bush fans. You don't make a 3-chord rock song out of Kate Bush. It's just not ever going to work.
To me personally, and her songs that I legitimately like...

“Moving” is her #1 best song in terms of uniqueness.

“A Deal With God” is #1 in the category of general “normie” likability. I’m not saying the song is normie, I just think it’s the one most likely to be enjoyed by the widest audience.

We all know what my personal overall favorite is... and since I couldn’t even name another Peter Gabriel song (ducks tomatoes), I think it’s safe to say it’s my favorite by him too.

2:42 I mean come on.
Discovering things like Kate Bush almost make riding The Wheel seem worth it.
Kinda the same way Wing made me feel, only more serious...

Anyone else would argue that her later work was much more “unique”...

But in my opinion just because something is weird doesn’t mean it’s unique.

Not talking shit about our ethereal mystical goddess Kate Bush or anything...

Just being real.
The magical spice is always what opens the door...

It’s not really what’s beyond the door.

Actually once you get beyond the door, you’re sorta back at square one and Kate even said something vaguely along those lines toward the end of that mini documentary I posted tonight.
The timeless magic was the first record and all the work she did before that which culminated in the album. That was her beacon. Anything after is just icing on the cake... some of it is damn good, but some of it gets scraped to the side. It’s still delicious, but sometimes you just can’t eat all the music.

2:12 OOOOO!!!!!!! LET ME HAVE IT!!!!!! LET ME GRAB!!!!!!!! YOUR SOUL AWAY OOOOOO!!!!!!!!
I have "Wow" stuck in my head and I don't even like the song.

I will not give in.
You could start calling yourself "Rose Bush", Fannie.

Man there really just aren't very many songs by Kate Bush that I actually like.

There are maybe 5.
If weirdness was a qualifier for being unique, then most of her earlier albums were just as unique as her later ones.

Fkn lol.
Good God she was a fly piece of meat.

I'm slain.
