Are you gonna pay Blizz $180 annually to play WoW?
I used to just choose the 6 month option...
Do you have an active subscription?
6 month option? 3 month? 1 month?

Yep I think that is 100% the right way to approach it.

What the fuck is the point of re-releasing WoW Classic when they're just gonna start releasing the same extensions again??
YES. This.
Nevertheless, Blizz has announced that Burning Crusade will be dropping this year. I haven't had time to play classic enough to know what it feels like to hit level cap and want more progression to open up, but just from a purely logistical stance, it's no longer classic once you have access to BC, right? Like, what the fuck?
(By the way, your new Blizzard Light Club video took me down a path that led to unearthing this thread, lol. That video is fucking beautiful).

Nor have I had enough time to play to truly get a feel for Classic, progress my character to the max level, etc.
I think what they're doing is a mistake. The appeal is immediately taken away when they add expansions to Classic. There's no point.

Might as well just play retail in that case...

What the hell are they thinking?

It is a great video/mix with the Shatner monologue...
It's sort of a "Sunset Boulevard" kind of situation...
The same sort of story with the same moral has been told a lot, especially during the 1950s-70s.
Shows like the Twilight Zone etc. all have their own versions of the story...
The woman (usually a screen star) who is obsessed with her own image and can't stop pouring over her old films and photos.
I've always thought the story was an important one to remember and understand...
Especially for someone like me who is much like the woman who danced herself into the mirror and died there.
For me though I look at it differently... I am aware that I am sole consciousness filtered through this consciousness vector. My identity is an illusion, all things are illusory.
Rather than it being a mere case of self-obsession, I recognize it as sole consciousness enjoying my existence to the deepest depths it can... by me facilitating that experience.
I am doing my ultimate best job to let sole consciousness fully experience and understand this consciousness vector on every level.

I think you just unveiled the meaning of existence.
