The songwriter was full of shit too. People who remember hearing Don McLean's "American Pie" on the radio when it first came out (my parents' generation) would never use smartphones as their primary historical point of reference. They lived a lot longer and experienced a lot more without smartphones than they did with smartphones. So, as dumb as it was put those words into a youngster's mouth, it was even dumber to write them in the first place.
It’s dumb upon dumb upon dumb. Founded on dumb.

I'm hell and gone from 33, son.
I'm not sure what you're getting at with the business about the 90 year old veteran. I don't go around pretending I lived during either world war.

The club is the troll’s weapon if choice. Some people call it a tool. The troll and his club are one. They are very tight.

For the life of me, I can't imagine why.

I remember that movie. Shelly Long was the alpha male's woman. That other dude would sneak around and try to hump her while they were sleeping.

I haven't seen Shelley Long in a... long time.
I literally just mortally maimed a dragon fly by not taking enough care to get it out the window. I was left with the conundrum of whether to put it out of its misery or let it live. I just couldn’t bring myself to destroy what life was still in it. I’d rather see life than death even though it is dying. The most important thing about care is being careful. In this instance I was careful to maim it in such a way and at such a time as to coincide with this thread posting diatribe hoping to get wilful attack on my being that will make me feel satisfied.
Come to think of it, using the iPhone as a benchmark for every technology that ever existed is the gayest meme of all. No vintage device ever gave a rat's ass about an iPhone. When I hear people do that, I immediately conclude that they have zero life experience beyond twiddling their fucking iPhone.
