I think the “vert” part refers to something sexual. If it’s inside or intro then it is feminized, extro or outer being more masculine. This is just referring to the “energies” whether yin (centripetal) or yang (centrifugal). Using this logic an introverted person tends to the centre whereas the extroverted is to the periphery. One may water the roots and the other evaporate the scent. All in all we find ourselves somewhere in between.

I think Google may have made me say that.

A good way to remember whether centripetal or fugal is to envision the centre of the petals of a flower.
