Kenny Burrell – Moon And Sand (1980)
When I saw her photo on Wiki, I was fairly convinced she was a man as well.
The eyes don't look male though.
I've been told I have "woman eyes" and eye lashes my whole life. Absolutely nothing else about me is womanly though. It's really not that uncommon.
Per Emily Remler's wiki: In a 1982 interview with People magazine, she said: "I may look like a nice Jewish girl from New Jersey, but inside I'm a 50-year-old, heavy-set black man with a big thumb, like Wes Montgomery." Hmmmm!
I just mistook Guest for somebody else!
LOL!
But nah, I really don't think she was a man.
Just because a dude has long eyelashes doesn't mean he has girly eyes and I hate people who obsess on "pretty" dude eyelashes... fucktards.
Most people are spiritually blind. I'm talking about the ESSENCE behind the eyes... not the fricken eyeballs themselves. She's got mother essence behind hers.
Sad that she died from drug addiction though... I hate drugs.
That woman had a penis. The real ESSENCE was between her legs!
Herb Ellis & Remo Palmier - Windflower (1978)
Ray Bryant – Sound Ray (1969)
God man that Sound Ray album is amazing...
I can imagine the absolute otherworldly rapture upon putting the needle to the record and hearing those first notes play...
And those gorgeous vibes at 0:17 agh, my God.
The John Wright Trio – South Side Soul (1961)
Jazz is timeless.
Bobby Timmons – Little Barefoot Soul (1964)
Charles McPherson – McPherson's Mood (1970)
