The way things are going in China right now, there won't be anything left there for Russia to covet before long.
And I'm pretty sure there's nothing in China that Russia can't do better themselves anyway. All of China's technological progress has come from stealing intellectual property from Western universities and corporations. Russia has always had talented scientists and engineers.
Maybe Russia could enslave the Chinese and force them to grow rice? Meh. The Western diet is based on wheat, not rice.

I've only met two people ever who are concerned about gluten. I don't even know what's wrong with gluten. Europeans and Middle Eastern people have been eating it for over 6,000 years.

Gluten allergies. I honestly don't think I've ever heard of such until the last ten years.

Dude Russia has connected huge natural gas pipes to china , china has bought Russian military jets and aircraft carrier and patterned their space rockets after Russia . China is smart in that they have taken the best technologies(fast trains from Germany, tall building construction from Chicago architects and engineers) and quickly taught millions of their own to replicate these advances and I would dare to say are currently making higher tech than we have in many areas . It’s just a numbers game and they have far superior population numbers to find geniuses and innovators

You would think China's huge population would yield more geniuses and innovators, but it doesn't. Individuality is strongly discouraged by the Chinese government. Anyone who sticks out gets hammered. The relatively liberal period that allowed Chinese citizens to become billionaires is over. Xi Jinping is now reasserting Communist Party dominance over every aspect of Chinese life.
Any gains China has made in technology are a direct result of intellectual property theft. The Chinese steal everything from the West, and it's hurting Western companies' ability to compete commercially. They do not innovate, only copy.
God... we were so lucky to be born in the USA.
It's honestly so sad to think about all those people in China with countless gifts to offer if they were encouraged to be creative and allowed to express themselves.
