Some people (perhaps even most people) prefer the thicker, softer (therefore more expensive) washcloths...
I personally like the cheap, rough washcloths that come in those packs of a dozen at WalMart or the Dollar Store.
I prefer my towels on the rougher side as well.

the rough ones help clean you more easily.
some people don't use washcloths. i don't trust some people. do the math!

Yeah the rough ones provide a good amount of exfoliation, whilst the soft cloths never feel like they get me clean enough!!!
And the great part about going cheap on washcloths is that when they inevitably get all nasty and stained and fucked up, you just buy new ones!!!

The dozen pack cheap washcloths are great for use all over the house and I actually use them in the kitchen quite a bit...
I like the assortment packs with the gray/black/tan/white washcloths...
I end up using the white ones in the kitchen and they get stained pretty fast.

Using the rags instead saves on paper towels, and I love paper towels... but I hate to waste them.

This is one of those MO-ments where I think of 100 different way to say how fucking cute you are, and they're all equally awkward, so I end up saying it indirectly by referencing the abandoned effort.
