Are they bored or something!?
I've asked some older peeps and they say they don't remember winter storms ever being given names before.
How long has this faggotry been about?
This is the 10th year winter storms have been named by The Weather Channel....

Hmmm...

Well, I've been MIA from the TV scene for over 10 years.

So it kinda makes sense that I've never heard about it before...

But I feel like the trend started somewhere and then it took a long time to catch on.

I think it took a while for people to actually adopt the concept of naming winter storms.

But now that they have, you hear it everywhere and it's just obnoxious IMO.

Only tropical storms and hurricanes should have names.

IKR? I just now found out about a winter storm warning in my area while looking that up.

I think this is just a way for Weather Channel to insert their branding into popular culture.

A forced meme, as they may say.

Yeah the winter storm going on somewhere right now is called Landon and I feel personally offended that they named a storm that since I am a huge Michael Landon fan and I've known people who named their kids after him and they're great kids so it's just like WTF.
Them naming a winter storm "Landon" was the last straw for me... cuz I've wanted to make a topic about this for a while, but lastnight when I heard that shit from some weather dude on YouTube, I was like okay, it's time to talk about this.
The National Weather Service lied to me. They said the winter storm warning was effective until 6PM yesterday, and there would be no snow accumulation.

It snowed when I was driving home after 10PM, and there's snow on the ground.
