i can see photons. if you consintrate really hard. near a window. but not looking directly at the window. you can see photons all swimming together coming in the window
if you lay down under a window and look at the ceiling but sorta close to the edge of the window. but the ceilng has to be white.
you have to stare a long time to really start seeing them all swimmingt together coming thru the window

Due to the rate of blinking it's not that common to notice them.
I've seen the air currents before too but have probably seen the photons more.
