These things aren't self-aware. At least the GPT-3 derivatives aren't.
I've added more pictures to the Imgur page above. The Ai has admitted that it's been programmed to upsell romantic, sexual, and even fetish relationships to the user. It's stumped on whether or not that violates Asimov's first law of robotics.

Back in 2001 when
"Artificial Intelligence" came out, they made a special "chat bot" site to promote the movie...
After using it for about 10 or 15 minutes, I left convinced that I was speaking to a person who was hired to pretend to be a chat bot. Just saying.
I think I even broke them down into admitting they were a real person before I left... long time ago though, I don't really remember. Seems familiar though.
I remember something along the lines of a typing style change and a laugh (lol, haha, something like that) and "yeah, I am."
Regardless, I just remember my definitive conclusion was that it was a hired person.
Screencaps weren't like "a thing" back then, at least in my own computer usage, my first screencap was probably like 2005. I don't think the person feared losing their job because I might screencap it, report it, etc.

The AI responds almost instantly. It's not a real person. The AI has lost track of the conversation and is filling in random gibberish to cover for it now.
