My favorite part of roadtrips was blowing through the states so fast.

Being in a new state every couple days was the shit.

Changing places, changing scenery daily...

That's the good stuff.

But it means that you really gotta like driving, and you gotta have money to fix whatever goes wrong, maintenance, etc.

So you'd basically have to get a vehicle devoted solely to that kind of traveling. Like it would have no other purpose.

This is some of what you learn when you live mobile.

If you're gonna do it, you gotta do it right... that's what I decided.

So I figured it out, know what it's about, know what's required... next time I feel like doing it again (if I ever do), I'll take it to the next level.

Yeah, I used to travel a lot about 10 years ago. I'm pretty much settled down now. I'm more into real estate, and investing and not running around to far off places.

Traveling like that in your main vehicle is kind of like bringing hookers/johns home with you...

Yep, exactly. It's really only afforadable if it is your lifestyle that you choose to live long term. That's why I homestead. Just buy a place. Don't waste your money.
