I like building animated rainbow LED circuits and whatnot as an amusement, but damned if I want one for normal room lighting.
I do like to indulge in colored lighting... mostly red, or some type of pinkish purple.
I keep a red light on with my normal room lighting, I love red lighting.
If I have two lights though, sometimes I'll use the pinkish purple with a lime green on opposite sides of the room and it makes this cool watermelon agate effect.
I mean if it's one continuous color. Not changing colors constantly. That's too distracting.
I don't like blue LEDs period. Too piercing.
Oh yeah, ALWAYS continuous color. Even the really slow changing color setting really fucks me up.
If you have house plants with dark green leaves next to a window, shining a red light on the blinds makes a cool effect.
I used to keep a red light on like RIGHT next to the window (with the white blinds always down) until I realized that whenever people drive by at night, they might get the wrong idea.

All kinds of ideas that are all wrong. Lol.
Back in the days before LED lighting, I had six colored party bulbs shining on the blinds in my room. I didn't think about the ideas people might be getting either.

Now that I have real Imgur back, and not some dogshit TikTok site, I can rebuild the OP so you pholks can see everything on one page and visualize the results.
There are a few changes and additions, so pay attention.
First, the living room. I found a different rug with a more intricate paisley design, but it's close enough to the same color scheme overall as my initial choice. I was also thinking, since the loveseats are identical except for color, I can mix and match parts. One with a blue arm, back, and cushion, and a yellow bottom, arm, and cushion. The other one would be the opposite.
I was also able to save the photo of the turquoise Princess phone on my real computer. Imagine how it will stand out against the coffee table.

For the bedroom, I chose a simple cherry bed frame and nightstand. I'm pretty tall, and like to hang my feet off the end of the bed. So no footboard. I also hate banging my head against a headboard, so we'll leave that out too.
The manufacturer says this frame requires no box spring, but I'm ordering one anyway. There's a company in town that builds beds the old-fashioned way.
I don't need a rug in the bedroom because it's already carpeted. I want one in the bathroom to soak up drip water and dry my feet
when I get out of the shower.

I haven't actually seen the apartment yet. The floor plan doesn't look like there's much counter space in the kitchen. I want to get a stainless steel prep table, but I'll have to see what will fit first.
I'm thinking I need a wall shelf below the Journey poster to put this shortwave receiver and some other small items on. I don't like every flat surface in the house turning into a catch-all. That's Boomer shit right there. I haven't decided if it should be cranberry to match the coffee table, or a complementary color.

The poster is 24" x 24". Any shelf or table that goes underneath it should be at least that wide. Anything shorter wouldn't look right.
With that in mind, I first considered a turquoise shelf to draw the eye from the poster down to the phone. The pickings are slim on Amazon. The choices were either too short, or they were some weathered rustic design that doesn't fit in with the sharp, bold colors of the other pieces.
There aren't many choices in cranberry shelves either, but there are plenty of cranberry side tables that would work. I didn't see one that exactly matches the coffee table, but that's no biggy. Here are a couple I'm considering.

The first one is very similar to the coffee table, but the one with the drawer and two shelves would provide more storage space to keep clutter from accumulating. That's the one I'm leaning towards.

I went ahead and added that one to my cart. The floor plan shows a walk-in closet and a little bit of counter space in the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen most likely has cabinets above the counters, but there's no telling what the bathroom offers. Maybe a small cabinet above the toilet for small items. Who knows? I definitely need tables to put things on.
I'm not gonna try to stuff a dinette set in there. I don't like having to walk funny to dodge clutter when I move about the house. Clear pathways for me. I usually eat in the living room anyway. I can get some TV trays later if necessary.
I also put a stainless steel prep table with adjustable wire rack shelf in my cart, then moved it to "Save for Later" until I see exactly what I'll be working with.
