What's the deal with fever dreams though?
So weird.
I've had LEGIT fever dreams in the past, but last night I experienced a fever dream (lite version, TBH, but still) induced by being too hot...
I was wearing layers/sweats in bed, way too many clothes, but that's how I like to do it.
Anyway, had a fever dream and I woke up and slept on top of the covers for a few hours after that for the first time this spring season.
It's not even what I'd consider particularly warm today necessarily, but the temps did go up in the middle of the night.
I just wonder what the heck is the mechanism behind fever dreams??
What CAUSES them??
What process in the body's response to heat creates a fever dream??
Why are they SOOOOO weird???
What is the difference between the dimension where regular dreams take place (the dreamworld) and the one where fever dreams happen??
I'll figure it out. But I've been wondering this for sometime.
LOL.
I had a super vivid dream last night/early morning too.
I have reoccuring dreams about my property and how it is my true home. But I still have work to do to complete it.

Daaammmnnn...
Do you feel like it IS your true home when you're awake?
Yeah, this is my home. I planned on buying a rural property, and doing the work on it for a long time.
Don't quote all the posts when you're replying to stuff, I keep having to edit all the quoting out of your posts.
Okay, sorry. That was the first time that I tried to do it. I have no idea how to use the quote thing. I'll just use the Reply like I have been.
Yeah I use the Quick Reply box at the bottom of each thread, I never even click the "New Reply" button.
So did you move around a lot when you were a kid or did you have a stable home base for the most part?
I'm trying to figure out the psychology behind why some people feel like they can never find "home" or a place that really feels like home.
You don't have to share those details if you don't want to though, it's all good.
I had a really stable home with my dad. My dad is awesome, he was always there for me and helped me go to college to. I lived with him until I was like 24.
My mom remarried a guy, and I was basically treated like shit when I lived with them.
But yeah buying a property just gives me *independence* and the feeling of controlling my life, which is what I always felt like I lacked in the past.
Okay... very interesting. Thanks for answering.
Dunno if you're ever heard about the phenomenon of people feeling like they can't find any place that "feels" like home.
Apparently it's pretty common to feel like you're still searching for home, seemingly regardless of where you live...
You could be rich or poor, live in a cottage or a castle, and apparently still have this feeling of not really being "home" there.
I feel bad for the folks who experience that feeling, and this is why I wanna find the root cause of it.
That is interesting, and yeah I can see that being a common phenomenon nowadays with how uprooted everyone is.
Was your dream a recurring dream, or just a really intense fever dream?
Quote:When the hypothalamus works to increase body temperature to combat an infection, this can cause disruptions in sleep – leading to what we refer to as 'fever dreams'. The vivid fever dreams most likely occur during our REM cycle when our brain waves are most active.
That doesn't account for having fever dreams when there's no infection present, fever dreams solely due to heat.

Quote:The exact cause of fever dreams is unknown. Some researchers speculate that the 'overheated' brain affects cognitive processing and therefore makes the fever dreams more strange than typical dreams.

Okay, that definitely makes more sense.

It was just a random dream, not even particularly intense... not a full fledged fever dream by any means, but the closest you can get to it without actually having a fever.
Wait, so I shouldn't use the reply button, if I want to reply to what someone said?
I'll try to use the quote instead, I just couldn't figure it out.
Or, do I hit reply, then just delete all of the text that I am not responding to?

Like that?
That's what I was laughing at btw. lol.
Alright, cool. I thought that is what you meant. Just wasn't sure.
its delirium like when you take datura cactus or it could be you are just to hot or cold when sleeping aka to many blankets I tried it sleeping to almost frozen it seems more peaceful than hot delirium, infection fevers 10000 others things cause it on your way partly to the after life
