In the US, he'd have to register as a sex offender upon release, which could greatly impede his ability to find housing.

These people should be launched into space to burn up in the atmosphere... they shouldn't be locked away, it's a waste of resources. People don't change... not unless they get a head injury and become amnesiac. Even then, who knows.
