I mean, to be fair, he does have some good songs... like he's not a bad songwriter.

His politics are predictably dogshit, but he wrote some good songs.

Was I getting misty eyed to Cheeseburger in Paradise?? No.
Even Bob Dylan thinks Jimmy Buffett is a great songwriter.

Those are probably his most poignant songs.

Well, to be found on a greatest hits CD.

When it comes to Buffett, if it's not on a greatest hits collection, I don't know it.
This is probably my overall fave song by Jimmy Buffett though...

Have there been other threads about Jimmy Buffett?

Prolly.

I like Jimmy Buffett.

I've known a lot of people who liked Jimmy Buffett.

I even knew one chick who basically said that he was her honorary father.

Lol haha I forgot about that one.

That one was even in early July too...

hmmm
An astrological explanation would be that it is Cancer season (June 22 - July 22) which is all about emotions and whatnot.
I think "A Pirate Looks at 40" is probably his best song as far as the actual music goes. It's fucking excellent. "He Went to Paris" is probably his best story wise.
"He Went to Paris" used to fuuuqqqqq me uuuupppp when I was a kid, lmao. I was like yo, that's some deep shit.
Isn't it weird how one of Jimmy Buffett's most famous songs mentions Labor Day weekend, and he pretty much died on Labor Day weekend?

I noticed this when I listened to this song a few days after he died. I had even forgotten the reference to Labor Day.

Dude , he forced peoples to show a vaccine pass to enter his concerts

But yeah

You keep reminiscing about the good old days

He is either a useful idiot or a demon

All his songs were meant to keep you in a stupor while your country was ransacked by his tribe
Like I said...
