Bad shit, folks...
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-cond...q-20057955
These drugs were originally targeted at Type 2 diabetics to basically save their lives. But now, countless self-obsessed fat people who are too lazy to put in the actual work to become a healthy weight are abusing these drugs and keeping diabetic people from getting their refills due to high demand.
There are A WHOLE ENTIRE FUCKING SLEW of insane complications that have already been proven to be caused by these GLP-1 agonists, you can do a search on YT for people's stories, I'll link a few...
There are also phenomena associated with use of these drugs, such as "Ozempic face" and "pancake ass" because the rapid weight loss from the drug causes these areas to deflate, and people end up looking way older and just super unhealthy.
Now, they CLAIM that the rapid loss of weight is the reason why these peoples' faces and asses get all fucked up looking... but I think that's an excuse. I think that these effects are caused by a deeper issue with these drugs, and I think the effects will be PERMANENT. That is, the loose skin will never go back to normal.
But frankly, when you listen to these people's Ozempic horror stories, pancake ass is surprisingly the least of the REAL health concerns that arise from use of these 'medications' and here's my main concern...
The people who take these drugs solely to lose weight (tons of celebs have endorsed them, including Elon Musk) the LAZY WAY will be in a far worse position when they discontinue use of the drugs.
They will have done nothing to actually CHANGE the lifestyle which lead to their obesity in the first place, they'll get back all their food cravings probably worse than ever before, and they will likely become fatter than ever before.
The ONLY WAY to SUSTAIN weight loss and maintain health is to make it YOUR LIFESTYLE. For THE REST of your life.
You have to exercise daily. You have to eat CLEAN healthy foods ONLY. You have to make sure you're not abusing your body with any substances. You have to maintain HEALTHY, ACTIVE daily routines and plans.
Without these crucial lifestyle changes, you will not sustain weight loss and you will end up right back where you started... often worse off than ever before.
There is nothing good about these drugs.
God only knows what kind of damage they'll cause people in the long term, and what kind of diseases they'll be responsible for.
If you're Type 2 diabetic and you are just trying to survive, then maybe it's worth the risk to take the drugs. But if you're just fat and you want an easy way out? You are doomed. Either put in the work for the body you want, or just accept being fat... cuz honestly, the repercussions from taking these GLP-1 receptor agonists may be even worse than the dire health effects of obesity.
