One of the most energizing foods I've ever eaten.

But I'm just not wild about the taste, which seems crazy to say because the taste is mild, in my opinion.

It's the mildest intense thing I've ever experienced, lol.

I cooked it in a skillet on the stove, with some caramelized onions. Mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, peas.

The liver was remarkably tender, absolutely amazing texture.

I think I would love pate and definitely intend to make some, dunno when. I've wanted to for a long time.

For the energy boost and all the vitamin content, it's worth chowing down on some liver like once a week or so...

But I am just gonna eat the liver by itself next time, cuz in my opinion, making a whole meal around it is not the way.

I'm eating liver for the health benefits, all the nutrients, the energy...

And in the future, I am just not gonna pretend that I want a whole meal based around it.
Liver is like medicine...

You just down it and be grateful and keep it movin', lolol.

Magnificently energizing.

It makes you feel SUPER alive.

I dunno how it works, but it's true.
How could something with a divine texture and sooo tender be...

Unpalatable??

Lol. That's the word that comes to mind.

Half way through, I started dumping Worcestershire sauce on it, which made it go down easier.

But the sides with it...

Things I would normally be in hog heaven over...

Mashed taters, veggies...

It was hard to get 'em down, I can't lie.

This is why I'm saying, liver should just be eaten alone, straight up.
I do love how fast it cooks though.

Next time I'm gonna just pass on dredging it in flour, gonna pass on the sauteed onions.

It's gonna be a plate of one slice and that's it.

And I'm gonna down it and chug water.
Definitely gonna land some ghee for the next time I cook it though... gotta maximize the healthiness of the experience all around.
Something that makes you feel THAT fucking good after you eat it?

You gotta work it into your life, whether it's your favorite taste in the world or not.
I even noticed my vision seemed brighter and sharper after eating...

Apparently it has to do with the high vitamin A content.

The effect was immediate though... wasn't some kinda "eat it for 6 months and notice a difference" type shit.

Pft... this is fucking wild yo.
I expected to like the taste of it a lot more than I did.

I dunno what I was expecting.

It seemed familiar, so I have probably had it before in my life, but I dunno when.

Seemed like something you'd eat in a country breakfast joint.
I still feel kinda high from it.

hmmm

This is what I found upon a search.
I *hate* linking to Reddit, lol but...

This is fascinating.
Beef liver euphoria, lol. Wow, this really is a new one on me.

Even down to the skin tone changing...

I thought I even noticed that my skin became more pinkish under the slight tan I have, it's hard to explain.
So none of it was in my head, other people have experienced all these same things...

mindblown2
This is crrrraaaaazzzyyyyy.
Imagine if it tasted better.

The world would literally be a different place, I'm fucking convinced...

nod
Everybody would be eating it and they'd probably be healthier.
Cuz yeah, my tastebuds aren't wild about it but...

I don't wanna bread it and add a bunch of sauce or something just to make it taste better.

I'd rather straight up eat it by itself and have it as healthy and pure as I can.

Try making a stew with the liver, potatoes and vegetables.

Chicken liver tastes great in a stew, or fried.
I sure do look back fondly on eating that liver, even though I didn't like it that much.
