I tried to ignore whispers of this possibility, but clearly they wanna talk about it. There's like some kind of obsession with this ancient marsupial predator...

They're gonna try to bring it back, this has been going on for years...

They claim they just wanna use the genetics to make something "similar" but it's all gonna turn out like some kinda Pet Sematary shit.
Yeah, it will probably end up being a Frankenstein type creature that they create. Living dead I guess.

First of all, it's dumb to just want something that LOOKS like your original pet but doesn't ACT like it.

Their personalities don't transfer over.

There are tons of fictional horror stories about this whole concept though.

From clones to bringing people back from the dead, there's a book or a movie about that shit going wrong...

Like in "Practical Magic" (1998) when they brought the boyfriend back to life and he was all evil and mean and shit.
Man all I know is...

There needs to be A LOT more discussion about the potential/likelihood of extreme behavioral issues associated with cloning, because it could turn out to be a huge problem with nightmarish consequences before most people even realize it's going on.
Speaking of cloning - I'm trying to put a storyline together for a new painting series
that involves chimera. The broad strokes are done - in my head - just some of the finer details
that are tripping me up. I guess the logistics of how things play out - I don't want them to
be unrealistic so I'm having to think, think and rethink how the events unfold.

Useless trivia for the day.

Do it do it do it do it do it do it AHHH MAAAH GAAAHHHHD DO IT.
lol, welp - I guess that settles it!

It's actually a "cannibalization" of two different story ideas that I smooshed together into one.
Taking the best of both and combining them. Fitting that it's about lab-created monsters. Ha!
I just think the whole chimera concept fits perfectly with your artistic vibe/aesthetic. It just makes sense that it would appear in your body of work at some point.
