I was HELLA opposed to dark mode since it's been a thing.

I was like YO BITCH, THE INTERNET IS MEANT TO BE BLACK AND WHITE OKAY.

But nah...

Actually, that shit hurts my eyes these days.

So I switched over to dark mode, all sites load in a nice muted dark gray, all my devices are set to dark mode.

Eye strain is at an all time low.

I've been frying my corneas on computer screens since I was like 6, so this is an important step to take if I want to still be able to see when I'm elderly, which I really shouldn't worry about cuz I'ma die anyway.

But I feel like it's important to pretend like you're gonna live, you gotta take steps to look out for your future self...

Cheers2
THIS IS MY GIFT TO YOU, FUTURE SELF!!!!!!!!!

IT'S FUCKING GRAY!!!!!!!!!
I'm starting to miss that blindingly bright white shit though...

Big Sad Nana
Oh God, actually nevermind.

It's way too bright. I can't.
LOL. When Google and YouTube inserted dark mode into the settings years ago, I started using it.
I should have started using it sooo many years ago...

*smh*

My poor eyeballz.
The display brightness settings on my F11 and F12 keys go from dim at 2 presses, to bright at 3 presses.
There's not a happy medium that I've ever found on any computer I've ever had. Ever.

It's like they can't put in that one extra tick that would be the perfect amount of dimness.

Cuz too bright hurts your eyes, too dim causes strain.

I dunno, I guess I am picky.
TBH the thing I find the most concerning about the whole nine yards is that the color gray is almost becoming appealing to me...

wtf3
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get used to this site in full on gray, but...

Nah, it's like it's been this color the whole time.

I like to switch between light and dark mode. It keeps things fresh.
Some people only use dark mode at night.
