I was reading in their Wikipedia that the keyboardist (I think) wrote a lot of the early music. Then there was the Gilmore Era in between. Then basically, Waters took over the band. I was really into their music.

Oh yeah, and if course syd barrett too early on. But the keyboardist was the main writer.
