I would be willing to bet money that there are kids rising up into adulthood who have spent way too much time in the Rogan sphere and literally believe this is a simulation, and it’s going to affect their decision-making on some level, at some point. That’s just a no-brainer. If you grow up hearing this stuff in your formative years and then follow into it as an adult, it’s going to have a much greater impact. Hell, there are people my age that seem to forget that simulation theory is just theoretical physics. It’s a novelty at best. It’s not something to guide oneself with, philosophically. People are real. The world is real. Love is real.

He was hanging out in those circles, he got targeted, he was brainwashed, and he got used.
They're also very active in many gaming groups... especially around particular video games.
Some of these games have been created with honing particular skills in mind, and they sometimes target specific players if they show a lot of skill, or if they're just very active in the community and have already expressed viewpoints that serve the agenda.
They befriend them, cultivate them in private groups (Discord, Telegram, SnapChat, etc) and the rest is history.

It was probably because at the end of the day, Charlie didn't really want her to be.

Honestly, it sounds like Robinson was always a gay kid, then he went off to college, met people who were pretty open for the conservative area they grew up in, i.e. a fellow gay who probably wants to dress up as a girl but is too afraid of social repercussions to start down that path...
He was able to embrace his repressed desires more freely and everything just spiraled from there. He's probably been involved in the gamer circles since he was much younger. That's a double life he could have easily lived while still a kid at home with his parents. The openly gay (at least in the safety of their own friend group, apartment etc) was an entirely new lifestyle for him.
I assume Kirk was very much against transgender ideology, and considering what he was talking about when he was shot, it's a perfect angle to push to the public...
