I miss the big thunderstorms in Arizona. Where I live now we don't even have thunder. I have only heard thunder a few times in the last eight years, and when it rains in just rains like a sprinkler. Boring as hell. I want violence and thrashing winds. I want to feel like something is going on!
I hear you, I love that energy. So much energy in storms, when I hear the rumblings and the rain, I get so excited. "Thrilled" would be an accurate description.
I've yet to experience rain in the western states...
I've heard monsoon season comes in May or June or something. As much as I love storms, I don't really wanna get caught in that shit.
In Arizona the monsoon season starts around late June and goes into maybe early September. Just awesome storms! And nothing smells like the desert after a rain. It's magic!

So I've still got time before it starts.
Really excited about heading out that way and seeing the desert again.
It's an amazing place and there is so much to see... hard to see it at all in just a few trips. I want to visit over and over again.
Some really bad windy storms lately in my area, but that's normal for end of April beginning of May.
Sometimes I jump from the thunder being so loud. I mostly like the darkness and naps I can take during the afternoon.
