The magnetogram is actually the most interesting in my opinion...

Oh don't be like that sweetness. There are a lifetime of adventures left out there for you. :P

That is an Interesting Sun spot. I was thinking. If I was looking at a ball from any angle the center of that ball facing me would be a direct line to the closets point on its circumference. So it would seem that spot is pointing directly at us. :) x

Exactly, it's pointing right at us which is the reason I thought it was even more important to point it out. If it were to blast off a good one, we'd be right in the line of fire. It's kinda messed up, but the idea really does excite me. I've always been a fan of the sun. I've been watching SOHO for like 15 years. There had often been interesting sun spots, but in the last 2-3 years, they have been really few and far between. In my opinion. So it's exciting to see one that looks pretty serious pointing right at us.

I think the sort of 'fan shaped' lines on the bottom left side of those close up pics are the most intriguing aspect of this particular spot. Really makes me think about the composition of the sun and what the heck is really going on there.

And let me just go ahead and throw it out there right now... the sun is clearly hollow. It's like an inside-out black hole.
2003 was by far my favorite year for sunspot activity...

Oh la la...

Hearteyes
I kind of think life is better when there's a lot of solar activity. It certainly couldn't be called 'boring'.
Sun spots the liquid hot gases expanding and contracting full of magnetic attraction and repulsion bending and flexing back and forth in and out vibrating until the tension becomes to much and the energy explodes into a froth of high energy plasma giving the solar system a shower of the suns essence across the face of heavily and planetary bodies
Here is a picture I drew...
