Hey all!
My band released our third new song today. It's called Save the World and our bass player sings it.
You can download it or stream it for free from the band website here:
Save The World
The band site also has a lot of cool pictures from the 80s. Probably over 60 of them.
:)
Buenos Dias!
It’d be really cool to be in a band.
Would you sing or play an instrument?
I’d probably sing, but it would have to be punk.
Aww. I´d like to see that. I still remember snippets out of that "Trix sings the classics" roflmao. That is gold.

"I Wanna Fuck Your Man" was pretty catchy.

My favorite was the ‘Rocket Man’ parody... it was just so fucked up, LMAO, what is my mind.
Wow. Thank you, Trix!
You are so observant and smart. You actually took the time to look and listen to those things AND you gave a detailed reply. You are like all kinds of awesome. Totally love you
:)

Are you guys into the 80s jangle pop scene? (Think Athens, Georgia.) This song reminds me of something Guadalcanal Diary would've done.

Yeah, that's pretty much it as far as the sound goes. It's more diverse now. We've gotten back together (about a year now) and have been writing and recording tons of stuff. The last time we were all physically together in a band was around 1989, so we've changed some. I think we have become better, but it's different now. All four of us can write and we each have our own style, but it sort of gels into a sound that's us, I think.
We're doing all of this over the internet. We're all in different states and one is in Canada. The songs usually come fast. Like one person will post an idea that's mostly all there and then the others will add or suggest things. Mixing the songs takes forever compared to recording them.
Its so much fun though. These guys are like my brothers.
GG, I’m so proud of you, more than words could ever say, for all the amazing things you’ve accomplished.
I know you’re humble, and to be so talented, but to keep that kindness and down to earth quality... it’s such a rarity.
Thank you... for being you. You’re a huge inspiration to me, and a role model.

You've always been so supportive of me and you totally lift me up, Trix. You are a super special person to a whole lot of people. You know that I absolutely think the world of you. If I were 25 years younger I'd come kidnap your ass and make you be in a band with me.
<3
But since you're older than her, you're qualified to give her the spanking she needs, am I right? :D
What do you think of this demo? There's no drums of effects on anything but I think it sounds kind of good like that.
Good day -Is something wrong?
and one more demo. I'm trying to decide what to work on next.

The playing and vocals are tight. I get the sense that the recording engineer is being conservative with the record levels when tracking. It needs to be hotter.

Thanks!
This is a demo right now so it's just the framework for the song. The levels in the final mix get brought up to "radio" volume. In 24 bit digital recording you have to make sure no tracks get hotter than about -6db to leave plenty of headroom for the entire mix as a whole. It took me forever to understand that because I come from the tape-recording era.
