What is the point of making photographs if no one views them? (sorta harkens back to the tree falling in the forrest with no one around to hear it). If so inclined. share your portfolio here.

I was going to make a thread which spoke about how even though there’s a ton of obnoxious bullshit on IG, there’s also excellent photography and amazing pages devoted to sharing enlightened/universal tidbits of knowledge and encouragement. It’s not all bad.

To tell the truth Trix-I have only been on Instagram for little more than a year. I joined a group headed by Toby Gelston, and all of their photographic activities revolved around Instagram. If you were not on Instagram, it was as if you did not exist. So I reluctantly joined. And yes, there is a load of annoying crap on it, but I have made a few decent contacts with it-nothing of a life changing nature, but nice nonetheless. And it does make a decent repository of giving folks a general idea of your photographic abilities. Instagram has long ceased being a place for sharing cell phone photos :)
