And yet, it too is polarized...

Divergent in and of itself.

Very unusual to get more than one Word of the Day.

Roughshod, a wonderfully archaic term. Originally it mean a horse shod with nails extending past the shoe surface, making the footing better in icy or slipper terrain, I suppose similar to snow tires with their metal studs.

The common use of the word connotates roughness. Like they did a roughshod job on my screen porch, meaning a rough or perhaps shitty job.

I dont know why but it lights me up inside hearing you say that word..
