I think most people still prefer to go through a checkout with a real person.

And especially old people are intimidated by these self-checkout contraptions.

They will start sweetening the deal with discounts when you use self-checkouts.

That’s how they’ll get people to fall in line.

The ladies are yelling in self-check that they’ll scan and bag items for people if they’ll “come over”...

Not going well for them so far with this whole installment, LOL.

They already do the self-checkout as a mainstay over in the UK.

People here aren’t used to it yet. 

They’ve also installed a “pick-up” station in here that looks like giant airport scanner...

I don’t like the whole self-checkout... takes away jobs and interaction.

I envision the self checkout station saying after you pay with that semi robotic voice, "thank you for being a good world citizen". Those who refuse self checkout?-It's the FEMA re-education/death camp for you :)

I don't although I want the jobs back for the peeps the lines used to cause me issues. Self serve is better for me because im efficient at shit not a fat assed lazy cunt like most selfish fuckers who need to make plant food.

The lady who checked me out was sooo nice. She’s been there for years, I just love her. I’d hang out in line for 10 minutes to see her anytime. I really think it’s sad they’re trying to automate all this and isolate people even more.
