We smoked a ton of ribs and played Scrabble on the front porch. I may go downtown to see the fireworks later, but probably not. I'm kind of pooped. What did you guys get up to today?

I've got this necklace on my mind that I wanna make so now I'm just chilling out thinking about how I'm gonna do it.

This was the first day in a month that it wasn't miserably hot, owing to a small weather system that rolled through yesterday.

I hear ya about wanting to disengage from the festivities and work on your own projects. Entertaining is tiring business. What kind of necklace are you making?

It's gonna be a boho kinda necklace with these bone and claw beads I've been hanging onto... it'll be a prototype.

Yeah I thought through all that hardcore yesterday and came up with a pretty easy solution that suits my needs.

As per usual, I literally already had everything I needed to make it possible.

I still think the airbrushing idea has merit, although you'd run the risk of washing the paint off with sweat in this heat. It depends on how big of a risk taker you are.

It'd look kinda cool all streaked up tho.

That would look pretty cool. Like how the Cure used to wear grease paint on stage so it would melt and smear under the hot lights and be looking ghoulish by the time the show was over.
