Wow, I didn't even realize the stems came in all those bright, beautiful rainbow colors until I just googled it again. 

It's definitely not an angry-looking lettuce, it's really pretty--probably the prettiest lettuce there is. Looks fun to grow in a garden!

Butter lettuce is a close second for beauty, but I still say it's number one for taste.
I've read the rule in general is the greener the better.

So dark green veggies are the best for health.

Yes I've read that too, I actually do like kale and spinach a lot, I don't really eat much chard but maybe I will give it another chance since it's so colorful.

Butter lettuce is so good it makes me want to eat salad all the time.
Chard confuses me, are you supposed to cook it or put it in a salad?
To be honest, I am attracted to just eating leaves.

I would probably just eat it by itself.

The most I'd do to it is put olive oil on it.

That's probably best for you, too. I bet all those colorful stems have tons of antioxidants in them.
