Long story short though, you're NOT supposed to eat opossum unless there's no other choice... they're great pest control and it fucks up the ecosystem to eat them.
"Many of you have written in...."
How many people actually own a possum?
It's uncanny how much she resembles Stephen Lett from the Jehovah's Witnesses governing body.
You call them opossum here we just call them possums.
Here they are like scarred weirdo vegan fruit eating lil panda things they are harmless.
Shine a light on them they stop. Some have pet possums here.
They introduced them to to the US from AU during the great depression to hunt and eat for food.
They became nasty things that bite you and shit. You should never introduce a foreign species.
But well I guess at the time they had a lack of options.
I like them here have watched videos of them biting people in the US never in AU.
Never bite you here they are a protected species they are annoying though make noise at night run around on your roof.

I looked it up and I truly can't see the resemblance at all.

Yeah, I should've specified that. Look up some Lett videos on YouTube.
I skipped to 3:36 and watched for a split second, and yes, 1000%.
A. Thousand. Percent.
TBH, guy's makin' me wanna convert, I ain't gonna lie.
Turnin' this off buhfore I get BRIAN WARSHED!?

No they became opossums with sharp teeth and stuff when they were introduced to the US.
When you introduce a foreign species they can change their physical characteristics.
Because they become prey to different animals they have never encountered they have to toughen up.
Its happened to birds a lot when they came on ships they had to evolve like Indian Minors one example they are tough cunts here.
Did you get that from wikipedia again? You realize 99% of stuff on there is fake? I have physical books encyclopedia from the 80's they tell a different story.
They are not indigenous at all they were introduced during the great depression to hunt as food.
Stop looking shit up on wikipedia its fake.

You're high. Ours are near-sighted and very shy. They only sneak around at night.
Well im sorry I have to agree to disagree with you on that darling.
There is people with 2 Phd's here who study the animals who will back me up on that one.
I have physical books not shit from the internets.

I only have what I've seen with my own two eyes. I guess I'll have to defer to a couple of Ph.D.s on the other side of the world when it comes to critters that wander around my backyard.
