All of this rain we've been getting down here in the sultry South, situated roughly around Shreveport/Bossier and thereabouts, reminded me of my MP3 pirating days. My favorite peer-to-peer file sharing platform was WinMX, which still exists today, albeit with fewer channels and users.

These networks were similar to Bittorrent in operation. Leaving them running around the clock racked up a massive amount of disk seeks, reads, and writes. Consumed with greed for the freely flowing files of the era, I packed several hard drives chock full o' tunes -- and crashed them prematurely under the strain of constant file transfer activity.

While stealing music, my sister and I would think of a theme and download songs based on that theme. One rainy night, we downloaded every song about rain we could think of. Today, in lieu of illegally poaching stolen files, getting our Internet shut off, and getting Grandma sued by the RIAA to the tune of $40 million, let's use YouTube.

Here's the game: Every time it rains where you live, post a song about rain. ThumbsUp

5:00...

I never thought you would ever go.

Reminiscing about the time we dreamt of a future better than the one we got...

Now it's cold, as well as raining. In the sultry South. This clearly will not do.
