November 16th is a Friday... I have heard a lot of astrologers talking about this date. So technically Mercury retrograde starts on November 17th, but you might as well say that Friday and the whole weekend is under these influences. 

Use extra caution with all machinery, all forms of communication, don't make any big decisions or sign any contracts if it can be avoided. 

On Monday and into the week, things will gradually stabilize.

I'll be interested to see if there's anything even remotely notable about the 16th in any capacity.

This degree of forewarning typically mitigates any and all issues. So I've noticed in the past.

It's also worth noting that any romantic connections made during this time of Venus retrograde will probably go up in smoke once Venus goes direct again.

It's likely to have a very polarizing effect on romance.
