Particularly dogs and cats...

Some people don't have a yard big enough to bury some shit in, heck some people can't dig a hole...

So what do they do with the bodies??
I cremated my boy when he went.... have always planned to make a garden sculpture with his remains mixed in the the motar
Adorable avatar, OMG I love it!!!

Yeah I was thinking people probably take them by some special type of vet place that handles the dead pet bodies...

But I dunno, I've just never really heard about it.

All the pets I've ever had who died got transported and buried in the woods.
And of course I mean if you live on a sizable chunk of land, the yard is the obvious option. But I was just wondering about big neighborhoods where yards are small and houses are close together.
could still make a sculpture.. I personally was looking to make something like ths

So you are an artist then? That's awesome.
No .... but I do have the mental capacity to mix some mortar and make a curl.... can't do expansive and intricate work at all.... just a real she'll be right mate attitude....and if it doesn't work out...who's to say I haven't made an artistic piece...it will be made with emotion so it must be hahaha

True, that is what really matters.
hmmmm why don't I see the pictures I have put in?
You're doing it right... image embedding isn't allowed on the board (never has been).
I have a pretty big front and back yard, but when my cat died I felt weird about burying him so I took him to the local pet cemetary to get him cremated.

I still have his ashes and I paid a little extra for them to make his paw prints in both clay and in ink that I still have. I loved his paws so those are special to me.

At the time I was grief-stricken so I asked them if they could stuff him for me like taxidermy but they said no.

I also asked my vet if they could clone him. She said that someone probably could and people do that, but it would cost a lot.
Kitty honest to God I was starting to feel like crying reading your post.

Thanks Trix, I'm glad it comes through how much I loved him.

He was more like my first born child, the only pet that I have ever had. He lived a good 20 years but it was still hard to lose him.
My childhood family cat lived to be 16.

He was really great.

Aww I bet you miss him too. Cats are great companions on this journey through life.

When it's the right time, I know I will have another someday.

Before I got my cat, I had put out an intention to find not just a cat, but a medium or familiar.
I've dreamed about my childhood cat a handful of times and it's always been very emotional and powerful.

Have dreamed about a couple other cats I've had too.

Interesting, you seem to be pretty psychic or intuitive and cats are too, so that was probably some form of telepathic communication.
Cats are so mystical...

Black cats are my favorite, I think they're so cute because sometimes all you can see is their eyes because the rest is all black and they blend in!

I think the myths and legends about cats being shapeshifters (or people turned into cats and vice versa) holds some truth to it.
I went to a big box pet store about a month ago to pick up some fish food and there were two really cute black kittens for sale, but when I went back about a week later they were gone.

When I asked if they had been sold, the employee said No, they put them somewhere else for the month of October and won't let anyone buy black cats/kittens as it gets closer to Halloween because of people who use them/kill them in their satanic or superstitious rituals around Halloween.

I was pretty surprised and didn't realize people actually did that stuff.
Yep, I have been told the same thing by animal shelters...

It's...

Insane.

What the fuck is with humanity, and why haven't the cat-people-aliens come back and set all this straight?

That's what I always ask cats when I talk to them.
