Why don't they just incinerate it all and then bury the ashes??

Aren't ashes and burnt shit good for the ground??

Why not just get rid of all dead bodies this same way too?

Just have huge incinerators and throw all the trash and dead shit in there, turn it to ashes and THEN bury it.

It used to be common to burn trash in 50 gallon barrels in the sultry South, but you don't see it much anymore.

because it will seriously mess up the atmosphere.....

At least with burying it there is a chance in a few million years and thousands of kilos of pressure, we could, in theory make a new precious gem or sustainable mineral for power or ........

Regardless, we've been making too much waste for too long and we've been thoughtless about it.

It's out of sight and out of mind.
