I 100% forgot about the Olympics and have zero desire to watch it whatsoever...

There is figure skating in the Olympics though...

Shit.

Well I don't know anybody on the scene these days besides that Yuzuru Hanyu feller anyways...

I may accidentally see it someday, but I am not watching it on purpose.

This type of shit is all that redeems humanity. For real. If they didn't take care of the animals at all, and if they didn't do shit like this (and other creative arts) with their bodies, they'd be totally worthless.

I pity the fool who tries to fuck with that chick in a dark alley, lmao, she could probably knock out an elephant with those legs.

I think if the Olympics took place somewhere interesting I might pay attention just to see the setting and the vibe. If you asked me to define "somewhere interesting" I'd probably need a few minutes. Egypt? I don't know.

We need new things. New games. This shit is played (no pun intended).

At some point, once we're really comfortable going up into space, you KNOW there's going to be all kinds of zero gravity games, or games whose physics are dictated by local gravity (Mars, Moon, etc.). We're not going to stop having fun and competing and challenging ourselves and each other just because we're colonizing.

Ummm, I volunteer!

I'd love to do some zero gravity games!

Those thighs vs human skull = walnut shell in a nutcracker.

Now I'm starting to think about it, lol.

SO many things to consider.

You can move in any direction. There's no real up or down in space. In a contained space you could impose what is perceived as up or down, and there could be limits on how you move (in as much as there are limits in other games, such as soccer where you can't touch the ball with your hands).

You can get 'spun'. Instead of getting checked against a wall like in hockey, someone could grab you and spin you super fast and if you don't have anything to grab onto, you have to find a way out of it, like another teammate grabbing you. Hehehe LOL. Can you imagine watching that? The degree of frustration and fun in unison would be cray. Just the ballet of seeing multiple people spinning out of control while others try and take control of whatever is happening.

Ugh, my imagination is exploding with too many ideas now. I broke through and am thinking in 4d about it...

I could have never even imagined ANY of that.

I hope we've got a Space Olympics within the next few decades ;)

Maybe we can't start vibrating in 4d until we've more directly experienced the reality of being directionless in space. Not being bound to up and down, ground and sky, left and right, but omnidirectional at all points. Chess is based so purely on our personal physics, here on earth. IT would be a very different game in zero gravity, if that's what it evolved out of over time.

I think they're gonna be pretty damn busy when they first get up into space on any level which would facilitate a Space Olympics...

I think the first few decades of Space Olympics is gonna be a different kinda 'games'...

Same here.

I can't even be arsed to click on YouTube videos that mock the US team for losing after taking the knee during the national anthem.
