Everybody's been talking about this so I just looked it up to watch for myself.
Dude that thud was real AF!
Gotta be a deeper reason to the shit.
What is the history among these people, or is it a matter of Will Smith and his wife being targeted by the warped hollywood mafia illuminatos?
Apparently it was a reference to alopecia...

Which is supposedly why she's got her hair buzzed...
This 'joke' was to 'make light' of the situation by suggesting she be cast for a sequel to "GI Jane" (1997) because in the original Demi Moore sported a buzzed head.
So I guess my question is...
Was Chris Rock paid to make this joke and told that he HAD to do it?
It's the fucking Oscars, not a Will Smith roast.
Nobody in their right mind would make that joke.
I do believe it was real though, the whole interaction definitely didn't seem anticipated on the part of Chris Rock.
Maybe Will was disgusted that Chris Rock would agree to take payment to make that joke, just for the headlines it would generate.
Nobody cares about the Oscars anymore, they had to do something.
Look at the views on that video...
Almost 10 mil. since yesterday, lots of ad money.
So, is it a simple case of hollywood bribery, Chris has such low moral standards that he is willing to 'sell his soul' to make a TERRIBLE joke at the Oscars in order to burn Will Smith...
Or did Chris Rock honestly come up with it himself and decide that it was legitimately a good idea?
I'm going with they paid him to say it and Will Smith was disgusted that he took the deal and went through with it.
