Not saying I'm necessarily gonna listen to them...
Just wanna have 'em, that's all.
I may listen in on a few just out of curiosity.
Especially knowing that Amanda Blake was so set on getting the role of Miss Kitty because of the radio show, she must have been a fan.
How fascinating...
When radio was the only entertainment, think of it!
It's absolutely beautiful in its own way.

Actor Matt Dillon (b. 1964) was named after the Gunsmoke lead character, and I think it's interesting that he grew up to be an actor as well. Either his parents wanted him to be an actor, or his own namesake inspired him toward the career path.
I remember Matt Dillon best in his role as Pat Healy in "There's Something About Mary" (1998)...

S1 E26 - "Hack Prine"
1:30 this is the first time they've shown him walk toward Dodge City in one of these Boot Hill intros. I had been trying to picture him walking across that stretch of land back to Dodge. I love that they figured we might wanna see that.
1:40 oh damn, he's been brought hundreds of miles away from Dodge on a job. He's walking and sweating to death!!! I guess somebody stole his horse.
2:00 good Lord he's so sexy.
4:00 look how dirty he is... *heart eyes*
7:50 this Hack guy is a damn snappy dresser, you gotta admit.
10:17 that shit sounds like a trick to me.
11:10 lmao, caught red handed!!! ROFL!!!
11:26 lol I love how he doesn't say a word.
12:32 DAMN, Kitty's lookin' FINE TONIIIIIGHT... https://i.imgur.com/e8YuXPF.png
12:40 I dig seeing her titties move while she breathes!!!
18:10 God dang, that marshal moves real fine.
21:25 he's practically gotta duck to get through a normal sized doorway?!
22:30 those straps over his face are gonna distract him from being the best shot he could be.
24:30 aw, that's sad.
What a great show.
25:07 it's moments like this when I wonder if Matt ever regretted his decision to become a marshal!
25:30 nice timpani drums on the closing scene.

God that is so beautiful. It makes my chest ache. Literally ache.
Your palette is generally a spectrum of purples, ranging from pink, to violet, to purple, to dark purple. Even though the colors are rich, there is a pastel quality you create with the blending; in your hands it's practically earth tones. It's super appealing to my eyes.
I love that you actually have a style; like a signature look that only you can produce, but also that is instantly recognizable. I knew without even hesitating that it was your work. You are clearly massively improving as you go, too. If I gauge what I was seeing five years ago, what I saw you doing on patreon, and now this -- there is a clear progression and evolution in quality.

S1 E27 - "Cooter"
Cooter, lol.
0:30 oh shit, sounds like he's talking about me!!!
1:00 I love his contemplative facial expressions in these Boot Hill scenes.
2:27 "It's too bad you didn't start this game with a man's bankroll," OOOHOOHOOHOOOO. That's insulting.
3:40 we've got a young Robert Vaughn right here... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Vaughn
9:08 damn, he figured that out fast.
9:36 how the hell does she know THAT?!
11:17 damn, he's got some nice eyebrows. The good marshal is God's gift to women all over!
12:02 "Get outta Dodge."
12:58 "You didn't pay me enough to stay." Ain't that the damn truth.
14:10 oh that's bad news. Lol =\
15:00 so Cooter's got that thar personality alterin' TBI... https://www.sectual.com/thread-16305.html
16:12 lmao I love the random interspersed shot of Doc spitting out husks, roflmfao.
17:37 this song they're playing at the saloon sounds like the opening of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J9NpHKrKMw
17:50 so now Miss Kitty is wearing the beauty mark... just earlier tonight I was wondering when it makes its first appearance, and now here it is. She kept wearing the beauty mark for the rest of her life. It was essentially part of the makeup routine, and it was a real trend at one time.
I came across another interesting tidbit about Amanda Blake's life earlier tonight too...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Blake
Quote:After the 1956 divorce from Whitman, she would go to the 'saloon set' of Gunsmoke. Blake felt like it was home to her on the days when she was not needed.
It was more than just a show, more than just a set, more than just a role. For all of them. Think about it... imagine back 20 years in your life. That's a long time to have been playing a character for long periods of time throughout the year. Who would you really feel more like? Yourself, or your character?? Would there really be any true difference between the two when it was all said and done?
I find myself getting confused between when Miss Kitty left the show, and when the show actually ended. It really was 20 years... but I keep thinking it was only 19 years, and 19 seasons because she left.
Without Miss Kitty... how can there be Gunsmoke? Those Kitty-less episodes may be hard for me to watch. I can't imagine it. Sure, Matt'll be there. But without Kitty... I don't know.
18:35 wow, this guy really is just absolutely disgusting for attempting to use a mentally handicapped person for such nefarious purposes. Freakin' reprehensible. I wonder if they ever show a hangin'?
18:55 lmao I mean this guy is just WILDLY full of shit!
22:08 God, Marshal Dillon is such a gentle man. What a dream.
24:24 lmao sometimes reverse psychology just doesn't work.

This hit me surprisingly hard, upon reading it. I felt pangs of existential sadness. Is this "just life"? Is that what it is? Life isn't fair? The human condition -- being sentient and knowing we have to die -- it adds so much intensity to my own personal world, both in joy and despair. That sense of destiny juxtaposed to dust in the wind... it's bittersweet.

Hey thank you for noticing, Atma!
You're right, it is my "stars in space" signature style...
I started making photos in this style in 2015...

You know I be noticin'. I recognize the greatness.
Oh my God, the Stevie Nicks and the Elvis ones are mad-beautiful.
My personal favorite remains the one of you blending your face with the alien. That was just astonishing. That was my desktop background for like half a year. But this new one is a challenger. I wish I could peak into ten years from now and see where your formidable creative prowess leads. I hope we're all still here. I hope nobody takes this for granted.

Now back to watching Gunsmoke while I fit some of these corsets!

There was a character named Cooter on The Dukes of Hazzard.

S1 E28 - "The Killer"
1:10 oh that was a strong Boot Hill monologue... I love how they hint at the episode's content with these poignant graveyard musings. This episode is gonna be hot.
3:20 "He died of the milk sickness." *chugging on a baller glass of milk right as I hear this line* ... Uhhhh. I meeean. It's not uncommon that I'm drinking milk and eating a midnight snack while I'm watching Gunsmoke, but it's still a lil weird!
3:28 "Mister, there ain't any good men."
4:20 well that guy's just a straight up gosh dang murderer.
5:30 gah, this 1800s detective work makes me horny.
6:10 wow, it's a zodiac wheel. That's pretty wild. Wonder if this episode's gonna be about gypsies.
7:10 what the fuck, has she got tarot cards TOO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
8:23 yeah, I uh, think it's pretty obvious that he's trying to start trouble.
13:35 oh this guy done FUUUUCKED up.
14:10 such a sexy scene... I looove seeing Matt all worked up defending Kitty's honor.
15:00 sheeeeiiiitttt, you know Kitty's wetter than a waterfall right now!!!
22:38 "I'm gonna kill ya." Oh that's sooooo hot. It's a mighty fearsome thing when a man like Marshal Dillon says that to you.
24:14 ooooo yeheheheheheyeah baby.
25:08 he sure did... props to Chester. Great episode.

S1 E29 - "Doc's Revenge"
0:23 agh, would you just look at the way that gun belt lays across his ass?! I want a fucking thickass belt with bullets all lining it so I can stand around with my thumbs tucked into it doing the prairie gangster lean, it'd make me wanna fuck me so hard!!!
0:44 "It's the hate a man carries that destroys him." So true. Oh, so true Marshal Dillon.
1:03 I gather Doc's gonna be causing trouble in this episode lmao.
It's heroes like the one on this screen that caused America to be an ideal sought after all over the world in decades past. This is American culture, and I'm proud to be an American!
3:50 see this is what I'M always telling people too, you heard it from Doc folks, get your dang fiber!!!!!!!!
11:58 so the Doc's sign says "G. Adams" but they didn't reveal his first name for a long time...
https://www.metv.com/lists/12-surprising...t-gunsmoke
Quote:For sixteen years, "Doc" Adams went without a first name. Finally, producers allowed the actor to pick a first name to go with that surname. Stone selected the name "Galen," inspired by Claudius "Galen" Galenus, a doctor of great renown in ancient Rome and personal physician to emperor Marcus Aurelius.
13:40 I keep listening to the awesome dialogue in this show and thinking they should release all 635 episodes as MP3s. For real, it's so nice.
It just makes me think... if you were a voice actor on the radio, it wouldn't matter what the heck you looked like!
14:26 Chester's definitely hot though. I like him a lot when he's not fuckin' up!
15:55 I'm guessing this is one patient Doc isn't gonna work on.
17:55 oooohhhh shit man, it all makes sense now... HE DID IT!!!
18:28 OMG that's brilliant!!! Marshal Dillon is the detective of the wild west era!!!

S1 E30 - "The Preacher"
0:24 "When a braggin' man tells you that he's half alligator and half bearcat, could eat a live sheep and then howl down the moon, you humor him. But when a quiet man comes to you, and with the tragic simplicity of a soft dam says that he's no longer of value, that his life is void and worthless... then you wonder. You wonder even at yourself. And that's a different thing."
3:00 damn, them stagecoach rides must've been awkwarder than hell!
5:57 this guy looks even taller than Marshal Dillon, WTF?? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Connors It has him as 6'6" so they're basically the same height. Must be some kinda camera trickery or he's wearing platforms.
7:23 this guy's boring.
8:45 this guy's boring too.
12:15 "I'm too lazy to work for a living." roflmao.
22:28 you can tell they're the same size in this scene.
