Apparently it's a yoga thing...

I like this chick, she's actually really good lol.

I think this my first time running into a prime example of the "exercise instructor" archetype...

Whoa, I can't believe the amount of areas this stick exercising opens up... wuuut.

The secret to health thru fitness is working your ENTIRE range of motion, and this works parts that you didn't even know you had, lmao!

Aaaggghhhh, fuuuuckkkkk yeheheheeeahahahahahhhaaaaaAAAHHHHHH.

Cuz it's about longevity, max movement capability... it keeps you alive. They say that if you're an old person, get on the floor and see if you can get up without any assistance at all. If you can't, apparently it means you're basically gonna die.

I did stairs sets today, it's so much better than staying in one place doing squats and shit, that is so fucking boring, I'm sorry. I hate stationary exercises.

I usually just dance for exercise, but lately I feel like most music is just toxic and dumb (if it's not instrumental) and I'm not feelin' it. I've had to figure out something else that is equally fun. Stairs is the best I've tried yet fun-wise, but this stick business is a blast.

Animal flow is fun too, but it's FUCKIINNNNGGGGGG hard. Lmfao, I am not gonna lie. It's like doing a pushup WHILST crawling around, it's... I mean, effective. And I'll keep doing it but damn. I need to warm up before I do it, so I think the stick is perfect. I'll start alternating days with stairs only because I just absolutely fucking love it.

It's all about muscle memory.

Muscle memory from working your entire range of motion on the regular is what saves you from injury (or at least lessens it), staves off atrophy and ill health in general.

The body is a highly advanced biological computer after all.

If the body (muscles) can remember navigating a certain procession of movements before (hopefully many times), then it can navigate those positions better when they get sprung on you during fumbles and falls, or just everyday life movement.

Single most important way to combat ill health in old age. Diet is maybe tied with it, or even a close second. Get them both on the money though, and old age will be much easier... it's already hard enough, no reason to make it worse due to lack of fitness.

To get old and not have a fitness routine, and to not have decades of fitness under your belt is probably the worst thing you can do to yourself. It's really horrible. Not to mention if one spends a majority of their life overweight with a bad diet... untold suffering that never needed to happen.
