1700+ people "under medical observation"...
That's a huge amount of people to be taking up healthcare resources on any level, and that's just ONE city.
A drop in the bucket at this point.

The national Chinese government gave no announcement today about this...
It's the individual provinces who are releasing these numbers, that's why the numbers keep trickling out rather than being released all at once like they have in days prior.
The Chinese people (those in local healthcare and local government) don't want this shit hidden anymore.

If this is real, it will at the least bring China down for many years to come.

Food, sanitization, and all kinds of barter supplies should be top of people's lists.
I would recommend everyone begin even right now to ration your food and just start eating less.

There's a week max to go get your supplies before there's probably a rush on everything... could be sooner. I'm trying to be somewhat optimistic.
I know a lot of people in my own circles are already prepared and have been for years, but there are always some things to top off.

April is the stated expected timeframe for the height of infections (and therefore deaths) to take place, gradually decreasing after that...
In essence, April will be the peak of deaths due to this. In China at least. But due to the quickness of spread there probably won't be more than 1.5 months difference for any other place in the world.
Took the 1918 Spanish Flu 2 years from beginning to end.
So by summer, it'll have taken its toll. Because it'll go worldwide so quickly with such a high rate of transmission, it'll actually be a pretty fast process. All that's really in question now is the rate of mortality.
And of course, again, that is all only if it is actually real.
