I cannot fucking believe you posted this shit on my site.

I've no filter, Flo.
![]() But since we're here, I'll tell you what I did differently this time. I made the glaze very thin so that it wouldn't turn into a hard, burnt crust on the grill. The ribs basically boiled in a tray full of sugary, spicy juice for awhile until the glaze thickened into the usual syrup.

Oh shit dude...
Let me explain... I was referencing that format of meme currently making many YouTube comments sections absolutely insufferable. ___ no one: whatever: ___ I do not like this one at all. Very much gets the stamp of disapproval from me.

Cuz the essence and the message of your post was great, BUT...
Just the same way as that specific meme format hampers the delivery of comedic material... I just feel as though my dislike for the format of the meme hampers my personal reception of your statement.

It makes me look at whatever is written in that format as automatically annoying.
Sorry I didn't explain this earlier!

I didn't know it was a meme now. It used to be a recurring joke on the red boards, years ago. I had no idea that culture was being kept alive on social media. lol

Oh my God dude, you see it EVERYWHERE.
EVERYWHERE. ESPECIALLY on YouTube comments sections... ANY viral video, just go and look at the comments section. Like I'll RANDOMLY choose a fucking video and GUARANTEE YOU it will be ALL OVER the comments section... Yup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLPPAu99XAw Bahahahaha fucking RANDOMLY CHOSEN bullshit viral video, I scroll down and there are at least 3 comments with this meme that I already see. https://imgur.com/a/8dK4piG I *legitimately* hate it.

Oh yeah, I see that a lot.
The red board troll was a specific poor-shaming troll, usually about whatever the poster was eating at the time. It was always "ME:" and "YUO:" (deliberately misspelled), not people's names. The thing about poor-shaming trolls is, they're usually basement dwellers who don't have any more money than you do.

Oh that's a type of person for sure...
I know a handful of people who are EXACTLY like that... But they're not well-to-do or anything. Come to think of it, all the wealthy people I know are basically the opposite... OMG so interesting. Yeah I can't stand that kinda snobbery.

I think...
The way you were coming at it was sorta like the Old Spice commercials rather than the meme. If I had thought more about it I would have probably put 2+2 together, you usually have great judgement about memes. It was SUCH a knee-jerk reaction, cuz that's just how much I think these memetards ruin things. It seems so... borg-like to me.

(02-01-2020, 11:43 PM)Mister Obvious Wrote: Oh that's a type of person for sure... I don't think anyone took it seriously. The gag was that all red board posters were "e-biz tycoons" who owned a "mantion" and a "yot". The original site existed to make fun of the first dot com boom and bust, when a lot of people thought they were going to get rich from building a website without actually having a workable business plan. The deliberate misspellings were sometimes based on accidental misspellings that became part of the lore. Sort of like how hackers started spelling "the" as "teh". They were called "FCisms" after the initials of the original board name, FC.
